Mimi movie review- By Neha

Me and my family watched the new movie released on Netflix called “Mimi” yesterday and the story is basically about a couple from America who were trying to find a surrogate to have their baby and they find this dancer who they liked and wanted as their surrogate "Mimi" who is played by Kriti Sanon, who by the way did such an amazing performance in this movie. and you guys are just gonna have to watch the movie to know what happens next, and in my opinion DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER! I definitely loved the movie, so much. but I just don't think that you guys should watch the trailer because there is too much revelation of some of the plots. I didn't watch the trailer as well, so it was unexpected.

and there's another thing that I wanted to mention. Kriti Sanon doesn't seem like a small-town girl, she looks very posh in it, but nevertheless, her acting was amazing. and in some of the scenes, her accent wasn't there anymore.

and I thought the story was really beautiful, but the movie was actually supposed to be released on Friday 30th July, but they released it yesterday (27th july)  because it was leaked. and now you don't have to watch it illegally, it's streaming on Netflix and jio studios, and it's already trending #1 on Netflix!

Mimi is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film written and directed by Laxman Utekar and co-written by Rohan Shankar, which is a remake of the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! by Samruddhi Porey. Jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

SPOILER ALERT! (or not, it's already revealed in the trailer)

when john and summer abandon her, you just wanna throw things at the tv, I almost threw a shoe, (true story, and so did my family honestly)

the first half is amazing too, but the second half is soo emotional, you will definitely cry, and it's not depressing either, it's like you get so involved with the family that you feel something for them too.

I'm not gonna lie this is the only movie that I have cried to, yeah that's true, I haven't even cried when I was watching titanic. I know right, it sounds crazy because you know I LOVE it, but that's the truth. and speaking of there's a reference in Mimi about titanic and that's just a plus point for me.

so I rate it 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐

that's it for this blog, comment down below what you guys think of the movie and i'll see you guys in the next one, ciao!

talking about plagiarism on pretty popular and non-popular novels By Neha

have you guys ever seen a story online or a blog somewhere, and then thought that you've read this somewhere? and you're familiar with most of the lines and the dialogues, well, in that case, it means that it has BEEN PLAGIARIZED! well well well, some people are smart, what they do is change just a word in the title of the book. and that's why if you research about it, nothing is going to pop up on the internet because well obviously nothing like that exists! they may be smart but we're smarter, and I'm talking about no one in particular, just in general, I've seen a lot of people do this on the internet, but if you give credit to the rightful owner of the novel, that's alright, but I've seen some people who just copy and paste the entire story on the blog or the pdf and then they claim it as their own. now that is illegal.

and now we're also gonna talk about the poster of it as well, I've seen a lot of people where they don't even give credit to the designer of the cover, while the original artist has gotten only 12 or 13 likes on Instagram. while the person gets quite a lot of views. and again they claim it as their own.

for example, there's a book called "the heart of darkness" and I've seen a lot of people plagiarize it and claim it was written by themselves, it was written by Joseph Conrad and it was originally published in April 1899, and its a pretty popular book, and I agree if you read it and like the book maybe write a review on it, don't straight up copy and paste it and then claim it as your own, and its also like where you change just one or two words in the title since this book is called "the heart of darkness" it has been changed as "the heart of light, or the night of darkness", and at that point, you wouldn't understand what was going on, but you definitely know that it was plagiarised, and as I said they're pretty smart, they plagiarise non-famous books because when some people don't know about it, when they read these blogs they think that the so-called "author" has written the novel. and also the views don't matter, what matters is the content is not yours, so even if you get, let's say 5k views, it doesn't matter because well it's not yours and you didn't write it, and I also came across a blog someone plagiarised a novel and even the freakin poster! like what is going on?! they plagiarised a beautiful poster and claimed it as their own. if you guys come across plagiarism like this. you guys should probably report it.

anyway, all I wanted to say is that plagiarising is illegal

comment down below, what other books you've seen that are plagiarised.

spotify vs apple music. which one's better?

apple music or Spotify?
there has been this debate about Spotify or apple music for kind of a long time and I've seen so many accounts doing polls on Instagram and most of the time its always "apple music- 20%" and
"spotify-80%"

I myself use both apple music and Spotify but I do happen to think that Spotify might be better, it's not that Apple music is not good at all, it's pretty good too but as I said Spotify is kinda better and most of the Spotify users do not have premium. so if there's only one thing that's annoying about Spotify is that it has ads like almost every. single. song.  I mean I know there's the paid subscription obviously but I already have apple music which is mandatorily paid, there isn't a free version in apple music.

both apple music and Spotify offer a large collection of songs, albums, and playlists... while apple music may have more content. spotify's music catalog is still extensive with over 50 million songs, with around 40,000 being added every day
although apple music does have over 60 million songs, you'll be able to find songs by the artists that you love and will be yet to discover more but again users are required to have a paid subscription after the three-month trial
and unlike apple music, Spotify also offers podcasts, whereas there's a different app called "podcasts" for podcasts
and well Spotify is known for its recommendations
Spotify is well-known by consumers for its ability to recommend songs based on your listening history. sure, apple music's human-curated stations allow users to discover new music, though it doesn't quite compare to the magic behind Spotify's recommendation algorithm
At the bottom of every playlist, you’ll see recommendations for new songs based on what’s on your list. You also get custom playlists such as Discover Weekly, which automatically generates hours' worth of new music for you to discover based on your listening patterns. Spotify also includes a collection of hand-picked playlists featuring the latest hits, which are automatically reorganized for each user according to their tastes.

to sum it up, Spotify's better. (in my opinion, everyone has different taste and opinions.)

Don’t look up (the Netflix movie) -By Neha

A few days ago I was scrolling through reels just when I saw a reel about the movie ‘don’t look up’ and I was shook! But i also didn’t know if it was edited, so I googled it and it was TRUE!! I was literally SCREAMING! Because oh my god, the cast:

Ariana grande, Timothee Chalamet, Leonardo Dicaprio , Jonah hill, Matthew Perry, cate blanchett, Chris Evans and JENNIFER FREAKIN LAWRENCE!  So it’s basically an all star cast!  But I also wish Jennifer Anniston was in it, that would have been the dream cast…. But nonetheless is this the best movie ever? But that might be a little too early to decide that.. we can’t decide if it’s amazing just because of the cast.

It’s supposed to be a comedy/disaster movie honestly I don’t think how you can combine the two?

And god knows we have enough of disaster movies, like titanic, contagion and a night to remember, although titanic definitely ranks the number 1 in the greatest disaster movies of all time.

But after covid people started watching contagion because it’s kind of the same issue,

The death of Beth Emhoff and her son leads to the discovery of a deadly virus. While the US Centers for Disease Control struggles to curb its spread, worldwide panic ensues.

But I’m super exited for this movie and I can tell it’s a good one. And that’s it for this blog! I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I’ll see you guys in the next one, ciao!

my opinion about the 'murder mystery' movie -By Neha

so a couple days ago I watched the movie 'murder mystery' for a draft of a mystery novel that I was writing,  I'm not releasing it obviously, and don't worry I didn't plagiarize it, I just watched it for inspiration, and I really liked it honestly, but there were other million murder mystery movies, but I watched this one because for one there's Jennifer Anniston of course and I LOVE friends of course
and second, its name is literally 'murder mystery
and I'd already watched it with my family when I was little, but then I realized that I had already seen Jennifer Anniston before and it wasn't in friends, and I also realized why she was the one who always felt so familiar, well of course id saw the pilot so many times before, but we're getting off-topic here.

and now the murder mystery, I think the movie's great, it has comedy and a murder mystery sequence in it
and of course, who better than Rachel green from the world's best sitcom to play Audrey spitz

it was released on 28th august 2019

A New York cop and his wife go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage. A chance encounter leads to them being framed for the murder of an elderly billionaire

starring Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler

written by James Vanderbilt

Directed by kyle newacheck

anyway, that's it for this blog, I hope you guys liked it,  and i'll see you guys in the next one
ciao!
